Wondering about the possibilities of integrating alarm system motion sensors with IP CCTV/NVR solutions. Am experimenting with BlueCherry v3 beta for my IP Security Camera NVR. Motion detection from video is spotty with triggers occurring from simple things like shadows or car lights going by. I’d like to trigger video recording using an actual motion sensor as opposed to video. Interested if anyone is doing something along these lines.
There are currently two types of motion detection, the original motion detection in v2 then a more enhanced ‘Experimental’ motion detection later in the v2 releases, this document covers how to experiment with them:

You should look into “Trigger” mode, there you have option to manually trigger or from some other source when the device is supposed to start recording.
