I just applied the latest V3 bleeding edge client release and it reset my client configuration back to default. I lost my view settings and server connections settings.
This has also happened randomly a couple of times when using the client.
As there appears to be no option within the client itself to easily save and restore a user’s client configuration (or at least I can’t find it), this prompts me to ask:
How do I save my client configuration?
How do I restore my client configuration?
What does the “Import configuration file” in the advanced options do?
How do I create a configuration file in the first place in order to be able to import it?
Hello, @brett.gamlin!
Unfortunately, we had to make some changes to the bleeding edge that affected the entire storage system. We added a migration system that should migrate all your data from beta-19 to beta-20. Note that these changes are to ensure the server information are secured and only accessible from the Bluecherry Client. Also note that the client is still in beta, so these kind of changes are expected.
Did you upgrade from beta-20 to bleeding edge or from beta-19 to bleeding edge?
How do I save my client configuration?
Not possible currently.
How do I restore my client configuration?

You can open the app from a configuration file. This is useful for opening the app from a web browser or from a file manager. Please read Using the client - Bluecherry.
To save a view configuration, press the three dots on the Layout and press “Export Layout”. To import it, press “Import Layout” when creating a new layout.
There are also a couple of other issues with the bleeding edge version:
Each time I restart the client, it turns cycling back on and re-enables listing offline devices. I can turn them off in the settings, but after a restart of the client, they are back on again.
It also resets the “show camera name”, “show server name” settings to default as well following a restart of the client. There may well be other settings that are reset as well.
Does it happen in beta-20?
I don’t recall it happening in beta-20, or beta-19
