I’ve been out of the hardware game for almost a decade. Are any Blue Cherry users relatively happy with their setup? NAS suggestions? Server suggestions?
I have mine running in a virtual machine with 2 CPUs and 4GB of RAM. It handles my four cameras easily. Storage is to an NFS share running on FreeNAS.
same here, i have it running on VM – 1 CPUs 8 Vcores, 6 cameras RTSP over TCP. CPU utilization average 33 %.
Playback consume a lot of resources if it is over the web browser, but when I use the client app, it is negligible.
Version 3 will offload transcoding of video playback in the web browser to the GPU.
