Since 3.1.1 update, camera live feeds will stop after a day as well as recordings stop too. Is both on client and on server. A reboot of the server will fix the issue, using Ubuntu 22 server.
Info to add, we were just restarting the entire server to get it out and start working again.
Found just restarting the Bluecherry service:
sudo systemctl restart bluecherry.service
After a few minutes will run normally, but seems to take 24 hours before the issue happens. Recordings and live feeds from cameras stop.
Added info, we have six installs of BlueCherry, this is affecting three of them. Do we need to reinstall BlueCherry on these servers?
Can you confirm that the affected servers are using 3.1.1 and not 3.1.2 or 3.1.3?
Of the three servers with this issue: two are at 3.1.3 and one is at 3.1.2
The servers not having this issue: two are at 3.1.1 and one is at 3.1.2
Thanks. We have a memory leak issue we are tracking down in 3.1.2 and 3.1.2.
Which distribution are you using? You can roll back to 3.1.1 if you are not using Ubuntu 23.10 or newer or Debian 12
Ubuntu 22 is on all servers.
I’ve never done a roll-back, are there instructions?
Thank you.
Yap, this should do it:
Have rolled back the three servers having the issue. Will update tomorrow on how it went since has consistently been 24 hours before the issue happens.
Has been 24 hours, issue has not occurred again since rollback to 3.1.1
Thanks, we are working on resolving the issue before we release 3.1.4
I noticed an announcement for the release of server 3.1.4 on 9/26 but it doesn’t show up when using apt.
Is this normal or expected?
I have the same problem with some cameras. Can you tell me how to fix it?
OS: Debian 12
Version bluecherry 3.1.4
When restarting the systemctl restart bluecherry service, the cameras are working, but temporarily.
